With over 25 years of experience as a psychologist, my journey began as a diagnostician, primarily assessing children. However, I eventually discovered my true passion lies in working with adults dealing with various psychiatric disorders and traumatic brain injuries. My interest in mental health was ignited at a very young age, growing up amidst family members with a multitude of afflictions including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. This personal experience fueled my curiosity about the workings of the human brain and its profound influence on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Observing the polarizing reactions to Donald Trump's entry into the political arena, my partner and I found ourselves intrigued. We embarked on a quest to understand the mindset of the left, delving into the reasons and motivations behind what appeared to be a phenomenon of irrational behavior now coined as "Trump Derangement Syndrome." The process of writing this book has ignited a passion to further explore and research how contemporary cultural phenomena impacts the American way of life. Stay tuned for more discoveries on the horizon. Current projects include research on the use of multispectral imaging to help identify malingering, interviewing for our new book The Alpha Male, and on tour meeting great American's discussing TDS. When I'm not immersed in analysis, research, or writing, I relish the physical challenges of CrossFit, running, biking, and hiking through the breathtaking landscapes of the Rocky Mountains. In order to decompress, I find solace and rejuvenation swimming and kayaking in the serene waters of Florida. Rachel Morin, clinical psychologist |
My passion to write this book was born out of the dysfunction I witnessed as I travelled across America. The numerous acts of unjustified transgressions were soaring and I wanted to gain a better perspective as to why this was occurring. For the last several years I along with my partner conducted traditional research as well as compiled information through other modalities such as visiting sanctuary cities, attending political rallies, and interviewing people from various backgrounds. As a student of human behavior for almost three decades, having studied and worked in the mental health field as a psychometrist seeing thousands of patients, I have a strong desire to understand what can be described as irrational behavior, especially when it is destructive to the self, community, and country. I am a patriot who believes in free speech, hard work, and the American way of life for people of all backgrounds. Mental well-being is paramount to leading a fulfilling life, and I firmly believe it is strongly correlated with physical fitness. Exercise is central to my life, and is why in my downtime you can find me in the gym or on the trails running, biking, hiking, or cross country skiing. I enjoy the simple things in life... like sitting down with friends to enjoy a meal and discussing current events. Thomas Pappas, psychometrist |
